Why we offer Clinical Trials

As a private clinic, we see firsthand where current treatments fall short. Clinical trials allow us to:

  • Explore new medications and therapies for our patients
  • Offer additional options when standard treatments aren’t enough
  • Contribute to advancing medicine for future generations
  • Keep care close to home, with a team you already know and trust

Unlike large research networks or academic centers, our research is integrated into a familiar, patient-focused clinic environment. You’ll see many of the same faces you see for your regular appointments — just with added support from our dedicated research staff.

Benefits of Participating in a Study

While every study is different, patients may experience:

Access to new or investigational treatments not widely available

Close medical monitoring, including regular check-ins, lab work, and follow-up

No cost for study-related care (study medications, tests, and visits are typically covered by the sponsor)

Possible compensation for your time and travel, depending on the study

The opportunity to help others by contributing to better treatments in the future

Is a Clinical Trial Right for You?

Clinical trials may be a good fit if:

You’re not getting the results you want from your current treatment

You’re interested in new options and don’t mind extra visits and follow-up

You want to contribute to research that may help others with your condition

Clinical trials may not be a good fit if:

You prefer to avoid additional appointments or testing

You are uncomfortable with the idea of an investigational treatment

What to Expect: Your Research Journey

We know “clinical trial” can sound intimidating. Our goal is to make it simple, transparent, and comfortable.

You can contact our research team directly or talk with your CrossCreek Medical provider. We’ll briefly review your medical history and discuss which studies might be a fit.

If a study looks appropriate, we’ll schedule a screening appointment. At this visit we will:

  • Explain the study purpose, schedule, and requirements
  • Review potential risks and benefits
  • Answer all of your questions
  • Complete any necessary tests or questionnaires

There is no obligation to join a study — ever.

If you decide to participate, you’ll review and sign an informed consent form, which clearly explains what will happen during the study. We encourage you to take it home, discuss it with family, and ask as many questions as you need.

You’ll return for study visits at scheduled times. These may include:

  • Physical exams and vital signs
  • Lab tests or imaging
  • Study medication or treatment
  • Questionnaires about how you’re feeling

Our research coordinators will stay in close contact with you throughout the study.

Your safety is our top priority. We:

  • Monitor your health at every visit
  • Stay in communication with your regular CrossCreek Medical provider
  • Report any side effects to the study sponsor and safety boards

You are always free to stop participating in the study at any time, for any reason.
